Tsinghua University (Department of Automation) - Apple Research and Development (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Intelligent Mobile technology Joint Research Center was established in 2018. This center is a virtual scientific research institution established in cooperation between the school and foreign enterprises. It relies on the Department of Automation and is led by Professor Zhou Jie. The Joint Research Center targets the forefront of international information technology and important industrial needs, opens up and solicits research topics to the entire school, and collaborates with Apple's technical team to carry out research in areas such as machine learning, computer vision, augmented reality, and wireless technology.
