On November 18, 2024, a delegation led by Olga Zablalova, Advisor to the Governor of the Moscow Region, visited the Department of Automation at Tsinghua University. Accompanying her were Artem Semenov, Advisor to the Governor of the Moscow Region and a member of the public council under Rossotrudnichestvo of the Russian Foreign Ministry; Evgenii Podlipenskii, First Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region; Sergei Kukolev, Deputy Minister of Education of the Moscow Region; and Ekaterina Sizintseva, Director of the Dolgikh Regional Technological Lyceum. The delegation began by touring the Experimental Teaching Center of the Department, gaining insights into its great achievements in teaching and research. Following the tour, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges in Room 407 of the Central Main Building. The meeting was hosted by Huang Gao, Assistant Chair of the Department of Automation, alongside Pei Xin, also an Assistant Chair, and Zhao Hong, the associate professor responsible for the Department’s foreign affairs.

At the beginning of the meeting, Huang Gao, on behalf of the Department of Automation, warmly welcomed the guests and provided a detailed overview of Tsinghua University's historical evolution, emphasizing its achievements in student training and international exchanges. Then, he highlighted the Department of Automation's illustrious history, showcasing its faculty, discipline development, scientific research achievements, and student training system.
Following this, both sides engaged in lively exchanges on the theme of intelligent engineering education. Artem Semenov praised the Department for its remarkable contributions to the field of engineering education, noting that its strength in talent cultivation, teaching, and scientific research have served as valuable references for the development of specialized colleges in the Moscow Region. He expressed the Moscow Region’s focus on enhancing the teaching standards of these colleges and expressed his conveyed a strong desire for collaboration with Tsinghua University in the area of intelligent engineering education, with the share goal of innovative advancements in this cutting-edge field for mutual benefit.
This visit marked another in-depth interaction between Tsinghua University and the Moscow Region, following a delegation led by Andrey Vorobyov, Governor of the Moscow Region, in October 2023. Liu Wei, the Secretary-General of the Russian Institute at Tsinghua, was also present at the meeting.
