Based on information, control, system and intelligence technologies, theories, and ideas, this discipline researches on the information laws of living systems at the molecular, cellular, phenotypic, and systemic levels. It studies the information processing and pattern recognition methods of DNA, RNA, protein, and other biomics data and health care data. It further studies the analysis, design, and artificial synthesis technologies of synthetic gene lines and systems with DNA molecules as basic components, and the application of these technologies in intelligent tumor targeted intervention. In addition, it also studies the system bioinformatics foundation of traditional Chinese medicine, the new theory and technology of the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, and the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in precision health and precision medicine.
